To belong to Mensa is no free ticket to Paradise. Rather the reverse, I should say, for Mensans are pricky, argumentative opinionated and self-consciously intelligent.
But it may be that that's what you want. It may be that you hate conversations that don't deal in depth with the weather and reach the height of thoughtful commentary with a "Yeah, it sure is tough!" or 'Well, I guess that's the way the world goes!"
If you do want something more incisive than that and if you do want some subject matter that requires some more intellectual chewing, try Mensa.
If you want to take a reasonable chance of finding that you have to extend yourself and that you may still once in a while be squashed by superior dialectic artillery, try Mensa.
If you want someone who can listen to you and understand what you're saying; if you want someone who can teach you & expand your horizons, try Mensa.
If you want to be bored; if you want everything dull, flat and endlessly monochromatic; DONT try Mensa.
